We are delighted to announce a new residency program designed to bring emerging Swiss composers, performer-composers, and interdisciplinary artists to New York City. This unique opportunity will foster creative exchange and collaboration in our vibrant arts community.
The residency will take place in two cycles:
Winter 2025: December – January
Summer 2026: July – August
Support Provided
Selected artists will receive:
- Round-trip airfare
- Housing accommodations
- Access to MISE-EN_PLACE facilities
- A performance opportunity with members of ensemble mise-en
- An honorarium (see note below)
Please note: Due to current U.S. visa and immigration regulations, eligibility for an honorarium will depend on each artist’s visa type and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Residency Details
Residencies will last 1–2 weeks. Applicants may apply for one or both cycles using a single application.
We are seeking emerging Swiss artists—those who have completed their formal artistic training or made their public debut within the past five years—who wish to:
- Share their work with New York audiences
- Build long-term professional relationships with our team for future collaborations
Application Guidelines
Applications will be reviewed holistically. There is no fixed format for how you should present your work—we encourage you to submit materials that best express who you are as an artist. We want to understand you musically, artistically, and personally, as the residency is designed to foster meaningful exchange and collaboration.
For any questions, please contact us at manager@mise-en.org.
Deadline: November 20, 2025 (11:59 PM EST)
Submission Fee: None
Eligibility: Open to emerging artists based in Switzerland
