MISE-EN_PLACE presents Folx Percussion

We’re thrilled to welcome Folx Percussion to MISE-EN_PLACE for a special evening of bold and boundary-pushing performance.

Founded by Kendall Rhymer and McKenzie Squires, Folx Percussion is a collective dedicated to fostering a safe, creative, and empowering space for women and non-binary percussionists. Current members include Hannah Moore and McKenzie Squires.

With a mission rooted in community, consciousness, and experimentation, the ensemble explores the expansive possibilities of percussion while remaining attuned to the physical, emotional, and social impact of their work.

“Folx” is plural, pronounced like “folks” with a harder ‘ks’ sound—a name that reflects both inclusivity and strength.
