Concert Featuring Tessa Brinckman, Kathleen Supové, and Neil Rolnick
Join us for an evening of boundary-pushing music with flutist Tessa Brinckman, pianist Kathleen Supové, and composer/performer Neil Rolnick on laptop. The program brings together bold acoustic playing and dynamic live electronics in a set of works that span decades of innovation.
The evening will include So Not A Sonata, the playful and probing Flutey Loops for flute and laptop, and one of Rolnick’s virtuosic solo piano works performed by Supové. Also on the program is one of Rolnick’s solo laptop pieces—potentially Sanctus, a live electronic score composed in 1990 for the late experimental filmmaker Barbara Hammer, presented with projected video.
